Customer and Community Reference Group
As part of our broader approach to engaging with customers and the communities we live and work in, Queensland Urban Utilities has formed a Customer and Community Reference Group to gain feedback and explore opportunities on a range of water and sewerage related issues.
The group includes people from a range of sectors including community and social welfare, primary production, environment, local government, property and residential and commercial customers.
The members of the group are:
- Bruce McBryde – President, Property Owners’ Association of Queensland
- Iain Bowman – Energy Auditor, Lifeline Community Care
- John Cherry – Executive Director, South East Queensland Council of Mayors
- Professor John Cole – Director, Australian Centre for Sustainable Business and Development, University of Southern Queensland
- Ed Parker – Residential customer and instrumental in establishing a number of environmental groups in Brisbane’s Centenary area
- Linda Parmenter – Manager, Low Income Consumer Advocacy Unit, Queensland Council of Social Services (QCOSS)
- Susanne Ruijs – Committee Member, Regional Development Australia, Ipswich and West Moreton Committee
- Vera Somerwil – President, Goodna / Redbank Branch, National Seniors
- Osman Bahemia - General Manager, Spotless Laundry Services
- Duncan Maclaine – Urban Development Institute of Australia (Qld)
- Scott Wallace - Lans and Water Manager, Growcom
The Customer and Community Reference Group meets quarterly.
