On rare occasions, a meter may not be able to be read. Reasons a meter may be unreadable can include:
• The premises were locked
• The meter is buried
• The meter is overgrown by shrubs/plants.
If we can’t read your meter, a card will be left in your mail box to explain the reason why. Once you have gained access to the meter, this card also allows you to provide your meter reading to us by mail.
